Ragnhild Lunden is a Swedish internationally working female expressionist , who started her atistic work at a period when abstract expressionism streamed the world.

Her education as a dentist as well as her studies of botany and mirobiology at the University of Gothenburg,Sweden leave traces in her language of forms .

At the Remisen International Workshop in Brande, Denmark, where the organisers generously supplied all  materials free of charge, Ragnhild Lunden produced anti-violence propaganda in installations using a combination of painting  sculpture and readumades. It was the time of the Gulf War.

Ragnhild Lunden was the winner of The Big Prize, and was later the proud recipient of the City of Brande’s Cultural Reward for her contribution for art in Brande

Then the Lip Period started, and with it the cross cultural cooperation with the Swedish chef Dan Lexö. ( Dan Lexö was a star Gude Michelin chef) This resulted in the art and cookery book Smaka Mina Läppar (Taste My Lips) and other projects.

In 1996 Lunden settled in the small village of Pfifferloh in Bavaria, Germany. There Ragnhild tarted to depict cows for another cookery book and some exhibitions with this theme, sculptures as well as paintings

The goddess Hathor, originally a cow, was the goddess of love in Egyptian mythology, as is the lip.

Lips,cows and hierogyphs.

Many of the paintings have been on show in Australia.

A visit to Dubai enabled Ragnhild Lunde´n to become familiar with Arabic script. The splendour of it is striking. To Ragnhil Lundén Arabian calligraphy coalesces with the Clippings from the French artist Henri Matisse, which he did in the sixties.

Ragnhild Lundén has a symbolic language using what catches her interest while crossing her path.
